Our History

Our Revue - which is based on the traditional Gang Show concepts - started as a result of a visit to Toowoomba by the Brisbane Gang Show.

Our first show was held at the Harristown State High School Hall in 1991. It was produced by Helen Meakins and had a cast of 35.

The Show continued to grow year by year. Kevin Chase produced the Show from 1992 to 1995.

Marion Lyons produced the Show from 1996 to 2001 with the cast growing to 50. During that time the venue changed from Harristown State High School Hall to the Toowoomba City Hall Theatre. With the Toowoomba City Hall Theatre being closed down the Revue went into recess after the 2001 Show.

In 2005 the Show returned with new Production Coordinators, Glen and Alison Jarvis, and a new venue, the Highfields Cultural Centre. The 2005 Show had a relatively small cast of 26. The 2006 and 2007 Shows were also held at the Highfields Cultural Centre. with Glen and Alison as Production Coordinators.

2007 was the first year that Guides were included in the Show. They have again been invited to take part in 2008.

The Production Coordinator for 2008 is Geoff Jarvis.
